## Core rule

All config comes from environment variables, never from code, and is validated at startup.

## Execution Phases

1. **Pick a strategy** — Default to rolling; use blue-green for critical services and canary for high-traffic or risky changes.
2. **Containerize** — Write multi-stage Dockerfiles with pinned tags, a non-root user and a HEALTHCHECK, keeping secrets out of the image.
3. **Build the pipeline** — Configure CI/CD as lint, typecheck, tests, image build, staging deploy, smoke tests, then production.
4. **Health checks and config** — Add health endpoints and Kubernetes probes, and validate environment variables against a schema at startup.
5. **Rollback and readiness** — Prepare a rollback path and work through the application, infrastructure, monitoring, security and operations checklists.
